Chiropractic Care in South Surrey
Hands-on care for the muscles, joints and spine, from a chiropractor in South Surrey who works alongside your physiotherapist and massage therapist.
What is chiropractic care?
Care for the way your body moves.
Chiropractic care looks at how your muscles, joints and spine are working together, and what's getting in the way when something hurts or feels stuck.
Your first visit starts with an assessment. Your chiropractor asks about what's going on, looks at how you move, and explains what she finds in plain language. From there, treatment is built around you. It might include hands-on adjustments, gentle joint mobilization, soft tissue work on tight muscles, exercises to take home, and simple changes to how you sit, lift or train.
The aim is practical: less pain, easier movement, and a body that feels more like yours again.
What can a chiropractor help with?
Chiropractic care is often used for aches, stiffness and injuries in the muscles, joints and spine. People commonly come in for:

Dr. Anika Eppich is a Canadian board-certified chiropractor who believes feeling good in your body should be part of everyday life. Her care is personalized and evidence-informed, combining adjustments, soft tissue therapy, movement, exercise and education. She sees patients of all ages, including families, athletes, and women through pregnancy and postpartum.
Anika's areas of interest are pregnancy and early motherhood, and children as they grow. She enjoys helping patients through the physical changes of pregnancy and life with a new baby, supporting kids through each stage of growing up, and getting active people back to the things they love.
Outside the clinic, she spends her time with her husband, their two boys and their dog, exploring the Lower Mainland, finding good food and coffee, or relaxing at home with a cup of tea and a knitting project.
What to expect at your first visit
Your first appointment is 40 minutes (30 for babies, toddlers and children). Here's how it goes.
1. Talk it through
Tell Anika what's going on, how long it's been bothering you, and what you'd like to get back to doing.
2. Assessment
She looks at how you move and which areas are involved, then explains what she finds and what she recommends. Nothing happens without your consent.
3. First treatment
Most people get their first treatment on the same day, along with something simple to do at home.
4. Follow-ups
Follow-up visits are 20 or 30 minutes. Each one starts with how you've been feeling, and the treatment is adjusted to match.
First visit: 40 minutes. Follow-ups: 20 or 30 minutes.

Questions about chiropractic care
Still have a question? We're happy to help.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can book with a chiropractor directly. Some extended health plans ask for a doctor's referral before they'll reimburse you, so it's worth checking your plan first.
How much does chiropractic care cost, and is it covered?
Current prices for every visit type are listed on our online booking page. Many extended health plans cover chiropractic care, and we can bill a lot of them directly. Coverage varies by plan, so check with your provider.
What happens at my first chiropractic appointment?
You'll talk through what's bothering you, Anika will assess how you're moving, and she'll explain what she finds. Most people have their first treatment the same day. First visits are 40 minutes for adults, 30 for children.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Most people find adjustments comfortable. You might hear a pop, which is just gas releasing from the joint. Some people feel a little sore for a day or so afterward, much like after exercise. If you'd rather not be adjusted, gentler options like mobilization and soft tissue work are always available.
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Prenatal chiropractic care uses positioning and techniques adapted to each stage of pregnancy. Let Anika know how far along you are and about any complications, and check with your doctor or midwife if you have concerns.
Can babies and children see a chiropractor?
Yes. Anika sees babies and toddlers up to 3, and children and teens from 3 to 17, using gentle techniques suited to their age. A parent or guardian stays for the whole visit.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on what's going on and how you respond. Anika will talk through a plan with you at your first visit and check in on it as you go. There are no packages to buy and no long-term commitment.
What should I look for in a chiropractor?
Check that they're licensed with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC, which regulates chiropractors in BC. A good chiropractor explains what they find in plain language, asks for your consent before treatment, and is happy to work with your other health care providers.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in.
