BABIES, KIDS & TEENS · SOUTH SURREY
Infant & Pediatric Chiropractic Care in South Surrey
Growing bodies need care that’s gentle and fits their age. Dr. Anika Eppich, DC, sees babies and toddlers up to 3, and children and teens from 3 to 17, using age-appropriate techniques and taking the time to explain everything to you and your child.

What is pediatric chiropractic care?
Pediatric chiropractic care is chiropractic care adapted for babies, children and teens. It looks at how their muscles, joints and spine are moving, using techniques that suit their age and size.
For babies and toddlers, that means light, gentle handling, with you holding them or right beside them the whole time. For school-age kids and teens, care looks more like it does for adults, scaled to a growing body: an assessment, gentle hands-on treatment where it fits, and exercises and advice they’ll actually use.
Every visit is tailored to your child, and you’ll always know what’s being done and why.
What pediatric chiropractic care can help with
Chiropractic care for kids stays focused on muscles, joints and movement. Families commonly come in for:
Sports strains and overuse
Sore knees, ankles, shoulders or backs from soccer, hockey, dance or any sport that fills their week.
Back and neck aches
Heavy backpacks, long days at a desk and hours on a phone or tablet can leave growing backs and necks stiff and sore.
Bumps and tumbles
Stiffness or soreness after a fall at the playground or a knock in sport, once your doctor has ruled out anything that needs medical care.
Posture and movement
If your child sits, stands or moves in a way that looks uncomfortable, Anika can take a look and explain what she sees.
Active kids and teens
Care and simple exercises to help them stay comfortable doing the things they love.
Babies and toddlers
A gentle look at how your little one moves, with light, age-appropriate techniques. Tell Anika what you've noticed, and she'll let you know whether chiropractic care is a good fit.
When to see your family doctor instead
Chiropractic care at Refined is for muscles, joints and movement. For fever, feeding or sleep concerns, ear infections, or anything else that isn't musculoskeletal, your family doctor or pediatrician is the right first call.
Your child's first visit
First visits for kids are 30 minutes. Here's how it goes.

Dress your child in comfortable clothes they can move in. For babies, bring whatever helps them settle.
We talk first
You tell Anika what you've noticed, how long it's been going on, and anything your doctor has already said. Older kids and teens get to tell their side too.
A gentle assessment
Anika looks at how your child moves and which areas are involved, then explains what she finds in plain language. Nothing happens without your consent, and your child's comfort sets the pace.
Treatment that fits their age
If treatment is a good fit, most families have the first one the same day, using gentle techniques suited to your child's age and size. A parent or guardian stays for the whole visit.
Follow-ups
Follow-ups are 15 minutes for babies and toddlers and 20 minutes for children and teens. Each one starts with how things have been going.

Book the Visit That Fits Their Age
Babies and toddlers up to 3 book an Infant & Toddler visit. Children and teens from 3 to 17 book a Child & Youth visit.
Family Care With a Whole Team Behind It
At Refined, your child's chiropractor works under the same roof as physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, acupuncturists and a kinesiologist. If another discipline would help, that conversation happens in house instead of turning into a referral you have to chase.
